Purdue Financial Aid Estimator

The Purdue Financial Aid Estimator was developed to help families plan for educational costs at Purdue. Undergraduate students of all grade levels can use the tool to estimate costs and "what if" levels of need-based and merit-based aid that might be available. Purdue Financial Aid Estimator results are based on a combintation of 2009-10 academic year costs and financial aid rules, as well as 2010-11 merit scholarship award rules. Note that future costs and financial aid estimates are subject to change.

Merit-based aid estimates assume that a first-time freshman student will submit a complete admissions application by the November 15, 2009, priority deadline. Need-based aid estimates assume that a student will file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the March 1, 2010, priority deadline. Financial aid eligibility can be significantly reduced if these deadlines are not met.

Enter data elements below as requested. Users will need to calculate an expected family contribution (EFC) with an estimated parental contribution (PC) and student contribution (SC) from a separate website calculator. For an approximation of an EFC, PC, and SC we recommend using the College Board EFC Calculator, selecting the "Federal Methodology" formula and making sure to record the results for entry here. Freshmen need to know their high school grade point average in core coursework and their SAT or ACT test scores.
