February trip planned for shopping, gamblingShopping and gambling are on the agenda for a February trip to be sponsored by the Purdue Employees Activity Program. A subcommittee of the Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee, PEAP sponsors several trips throughout the year for various activities, including shopping, baseball games and sightseeing. The first trip of 2002 is scheduled for Feb. 23 to Michigan City for shopping at the Lighthouse Center Outlet Mall and gambling at the Blue Chip Casino. The cost for the trip is $25 and includes the bus ride, $10 in coins for the casino, two gaming sessions, a buffet meal and a coupon book for the mall. To sign up, simply fill out the form in the print version of Inside Purdue and mail it, along with a check for $25 made out to CSSAC, to Kathy Walters, libraries, Stewart Center. The deadline to register is Feb. 11. A confirmation letter and itinerary will be sent to the campus or home address of those who register. Please note that anyone going on the trip must be at least 21 years old. The bus will leave the rear parking lot of Freehafer Hall at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23.
